Forgot Something...

Forgot to say that I am SUPER proud of Ross and my dad for building this tire swing on Ethan's birthday.  It turned out awesome and I can't wait for the spring when we can go out and use it more.

Now My dad climbed up the tree and we all got in a debate...  Help us out is it:

1. Shinning up a tree?
2. Shimming up a tree?

Hey Michelle! Can I get your email again? I don't know if what I have is right...and I think that is why you haven't gotten the invite I sent a while ago! I'd really appreciate it! :)

neither? i don't know if you can call it shimming... shimming is a building skill. but you can definitely shimmy up a tree... you just can't add an ing to the end.

that bledsoe girl doesn't know what she's talking about... :)

I think it would be shinning with a Y in the middle, so shinnying....this is what merriam webster's definition is for shinnying: to move oneself up or down something vertical (as a pole) especially by alternately hugging it with the arms or hands and the legs :)

p.s. miss your family! Can't wait to see you at the YA reunion!

I just want to say that I love that you have a swing. I absolutely love to swing still to this day. When asked in my social work grad school classes what I do for self care I tell them I find a park and swing!

Recently I read a study of the therapeutic effects of rocking chairs for both mother and child (swinging). So while you're having fun on that amazing swing know that it's also good for the sould!

A car Shimmys when it vibrates out of control... like when you pull a trailer. So the Shinny's have it! Either way, you needed a "y" in there. LOL You are hilarious... Don't you have a pic of him up that tree?

You shin up a tree.

Shinning: climbing up quickly by griping with arms and legs

Shimming: wedge or fill up a space (as with carpentry)

Anyway... Michelle, can you call me! We need the music and it's not in my email and Alana is panicking! :)

Hey Michelle! It's Kindra Whitaker. I just found your blog on Katie Auger's site. I just wanted to tell you that you have a darling little boy, and you are such a great mother. It is fun to see you with a little one. Hey we are back in second ward in a new house, but in any event, I am back in Young Women's as the secretary, and Casey just got put in as the YM Pres. I hope all is well with you and Ross. Keep in touch, I miss seeing you around.
