Let's Go Fly a Kite!!!

Is there anything more fun than flying a kite?  Last Saturday we went out side and flew a kite.  The weather was GORGEOUS and it was so fun to watch Ethan wonder at the magic of seeing something fly through the air.  He enjoyed it so much, especially when the thing flying happens to be Lightening McQueen.

Adelle had her first outing outside too.  I have been too nervous to take her outside because it has been so cold.  But, since the weather was so nice, I finally took her out.  She LOVED it.  It was so amazing to watch her feel the wind on her face for the first time.  She had the most peaceful look on her face, and I had to wonder what she was thinking.  I know, that in some ways, she is closer to heaven than I am, since her separation from there was not that long ago.  It seems, that somehow, she understands more about the wind than I do.  How I wish she could tell me all she knows right now, because I know that when she finally can tell me things, that gap between heaven and earth will have widened, and she won't remember what she knew about the wind.  Someday, someday we will know all the mysterious of The Great Creator.

I love spending time with this little family of mine.

It's the Most Wonderful Time...

I know I have mentioned that Ethan's favorite song is "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year".  My favorite thing is that he calls it "It's the Most..." and that he will sing it at the top of his lungs in the stores.  Check out this video.

(Keep in mind that it is not even close to his loudest!)

Anyway, I have been thinking about my life and where I am, and I would have to say that it is the most wonderful time, and here is a list of why.

1.  I have an amazing husband who I love, who loves me and who loves our children.

2.  I have a 2 year old buddy that can stretch me to my thinest, and yet fill me to my fullest all in the same day.  The other day when I was frustrated something wasn't going how I planned, he looked at me and said, "Mommy, You're my best friend."  My heart never felt fuller.  Here is one thing we are doing, however, that is stretching me to my thinest! :)

Actually, he is a great sport about it, it's just cleaning up the accidents that test my patience.

That's right it's potty training time!  I can't believe we are here already.

3. I have the sweetest little girl who can melt away any sorrow.  The sad thing is that she is growing so fast.

(She is not sure she likes how many pictures mommy takes, but she grows into it.)

(Yes that is slobber on those chubby cheeks)

 4.  I can honestly say, that because of the things listed above, I finally know what my place in this world in.  Is it crazy that it is much smaller, and yet much grander, than I expected.  Smaller because very few, in the whole of the human race, will ever know that I was here.  But grand because raising these children is the most important thing I could do, and the most molding, life-altering thing I will ever do.   I can say that coming to this truth has made me the happiest I have ever been.  So thank you Ethan for reminding me that it truly is "The Most Wonderful Time", the most wonderful time of my life.

2 years and 2 weeks and counting

I finally had the time to do a 2 year old photo shoot of my Ethan boy.  With the bed rest, I could not take photos, but we are now back in full swing.  Here are some things about Ethan at 2 years old:

1. Ethan loves Thomas the train, and any train for that matter.

He will spend hours playing with his toy trains.
2.  Ethan loves Basketball, and wants to shoot baskets with Daddy all day long.
3. His favorite color is green. His favorite foods are pizza and chicken and rice.  His favorite drink is chocolate milk.  He LOVES fruit!  In fact, he would pick fruit over any dessert.
4.  Ethan's favorite song is It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.  He asks to listen to it every time we get into the car.  He doesn't quite understand why we shouldn't be able to listen to Christmas music whenever.  I love that about him.
5.  He loves to run and jump especially on Aunt Rachel's Trampoline.

Addie is doing well too.  She turns 2 weeks old this week and she is such a pretty thing.

She was finally able to take a real bath this week and she LOVED it.
After the bath Daddy did her hair...Yikes!  Mommy will have to keep tabs on the hair thing. ;)

Here is Addie's 2 week photo shoot:

Ethan and Addie together are the greatest things in the world.  Ethan is such a big help with her.  He will go and get me diapers when I need one and he tries to comfort her when she is crying.  He always tells me how cute she is, and LOVES to give her kisses.  I am amazed at how much I love these two kids!

P.S.
Is anyone else ready for spring?!
