Adventures, Adventures!!!!

Life is full of adventures, Ethan has been crawling now for a while.  He is into everything and bangs into everything too.  It's funny, he is a dare devil yet also a little fraidy cat too.  He will dunk his head under the water in the tub, but get to a step, get his hands up and scream because he feels like he is stuck.  Wow how we love this little man.  He wants to be a big boy so bad.  We went the park and all he wanted to do was watch the kids play.  He would scream at them to try and get their attention and he wanted me to help him stand the whole time so he could be a big boy.  He tried to climb up the stairs to the deck a couple of weeks ago, he fell and got a fat lip.  Poor guy.  He was still pretty happy though.

I love going in to wake him up because this is how we usually find him.

He LOVES to stand.  He also loves to talk.  He says MA MA, Deddy(which is daddy), PA PA, and KINKY ( Which is Stinky,  Don't worry we wouldn't teach him that)!!!

Some of you know I just finished this show called the Taffetas.  I was asked a while ago to come back and do an alumni show.  It was so fun, but hard because Ross was gone for two and a half weeks during the rehearsal process luckily we had so much help from Randy and Sue.   Ross got home on opening night and surprised me with this beautiful bouquet.  He assured me it wasn't just for the show but for being a single mom for the last two weeks.  He is such a sweet guy, I love him very much.  It is so GOOD to have him home!!!

I also had a little accident during the run of the show.  Before a performance one night I tripped and fell onto a light and got this beauty.  25 stitches!!!!  My life long dreams of becoming a leg model are no longer coming true!!! (oh well I guess that went out the window with child birth!  HA HA)  I really just didn't want my sister-in-law Annie to feel she had to be the only one with knee scars in the fam!!!  It looks worse than it was in this pic because I got hives from the sterry strips they used.  Anyway, I got the stitches out and it is healing up perfectly.

Trevor and Sarah had their baby Hudson Jay.  He is a cutie and we can't wait to see him in person next month!!!  He looks so much like Trev, but I can see some of Sarah in him too.

I took Jen and Covey's engagement photo and here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

So I have found a new favorite thing about living in colder climate now that I have a little boy:

HATS!!!

Who says you can't accessorize boys?  I know it's not ribbons and bows, but I still think beanies and hats on this baby boy are the cutest!!!  Stay tuned for Ethan's many hats this winter!!!!

Let's play Catch up!!

Well so much has happened and luckily a friend of mine let me borrow her camera cord so I could load my pictures.

 So here goes:

Our Summer

First we went to Jackson to work for a friend of ours for a couple of weeks and she gave Ethan these darling pajamas.  The rockin' cowboy boots came from her too.  We HAVE to take a moment to say....

My grandfather, Donald A. Sharon, passed away June 5, 2009.  The funeral was beautiful and there was a color guard to honor him for all of his military service.  I love my grandfather he was a good man who loved his family, especially my grandma.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to be a part of his grandchildren's lives.  Grandpa, you will always be remembered in our family.

While we were in Arizona, I went to Gavin's first swim meet.  He was ROCKIN  and it totally brought me back to my own summer days of swim team and swim meets.  He got fourth place. And loved getting a ribbon.  Way to go Gavin!!!

We went up to Heber camp for the Boothe family reunion.  We ate really yummy dutch oven food and celebrated Grandma and Grandpa Boothe's 80th Birthdays.  WOW!!!!

This is Daddy and Ethan on the 4th of July.  Celebrating in their Reds!!!

Ross has been working in Hawaii, helping mount a new show at the Polynesian Cultural Center for the last two years, and we got to go with him over there for a week.

While we were there I went out to shoot some pictures and found this couple from Poland who had just been married.   They have known each other since they were kids and came to the USA to get an education.  While they were here, they saved enough money to come to Hawaii to get married they had always wanted to do that.  They had no one taking pictures of them so we went out together and did a photo shoot  Here are just a few...

(this is the chapel they were married in)

Then on the way back to our condo, I saw this beautiful girl dancing on the beach I thought it was such a beautiful picture so I shot a couple.

My favorite shots of the trip though, was this old burned down building.  It was so cool.

We were so excited when my family came to visit for a week and a half...

My Dad said he had a picture of him just like this one, so I thought I would carry on the tradition!!!

Ethan and Landon- Best Buddies!!!

Baylie with her paper flag that we made.  It had a princess on it!!!

Landon is sooo cute and so big!!

As many of you know my mother-in-law has been battling breast cancer.  She was just recently asked to be a speaker at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new cancer building at Utah Valley Hospital.  She did a great job and we are so proud of her.

Ross has been so busy at work so when he told me he had three days off I quickly planned it all out and we made a little stay at home vacation out of it.   We took Ethan and hiked up to slide rock in Alpine.  Covey told us about it and it is super fun.  Thanks Covey.

Ross Going down the slide

Ethan was so tired at the end of the hike

We also went and did one of our favorite things which is to go up the canyon and Roast hotdogs over a fire.  Randy and Sue came up with us too, it was a blast.  We made smores and ate way too much.  Oh well it's vacation right?

We then took Ethan to the zoo for his first time.  He loved seeing the animals.  He could only pick out the ones moving or the ones that were crazy colors.  He could not find the elephant even after we tried pointing him out in every way imaginable.  He loved the giraffes, the monkeys, and the zebras.  I have to tell you though he was totally scared of the penguins.  One came walking right over towards us and he freaked out.  It was hilarious.  There were tons of new baby animals that were so cute we had so much fun.

Our vacation was a blast.  Sorry for this long post it has been a while.  Well the last bit of news is this.  Ethan is 8 months old on Thursday.  He is so big.  He loves to be mobile and scoot around.  He is so close to crawling it amazes me he hasn't just done it yet.  He loves to sit up like a big boy, get into EVERYTHING, and he has like 8 teeth it's crazy.  We love and just think he is the cutest boy in the world.

Ok I know many of you are waiting for an update.  I lost my little chord that hooks the camera to my computer.  So as soon as I find it, you guys can see Ethan I promise.  PS  I have been trying to add a background that I did and for some reason it is not working.  If anyone has any ideas on how to make that work let me know.
